Club Day on 7th September 2007 and The Festival at Marston Moretaine

This was quite a short meeting for there was not a lot of business to discuss but two matters stand out

We had the 200 Club Draw, which raises a substantial sum towards our Benevolent Fund.  The winner of the main prize this week was young Rtn Ron Adams; on the announcement all present shouted "Hurray". The next prize went to Rtn Barry Lanz, who unfortunately was not present; on this announcement all present shouted "Boo".  Barry would not have expected anything else!

Rtn Mark Constant presented the new promotional display panels, which were to be used for the first time at the Festival of Wood, Woodlands and Wood Products at the Forest Centre & Millennium Park at Marston Moretaine on Saturday and Sunday, 8th and 9th September

The Festival was well supported by Rotarians from our Club and Bedford Castle who manned the car parks.

Opposite is the morning shift, who worked from 10.00 am until 1.00 pm
