Margaret - Ann  Tibbs - Alzheimer's Association spoke to us on 19th October 2007

Ann gave us a most interesting and heart warming talk about the different diseases that effect over 700,000 people within the UK. She is Chair of the North & Mid Beds Association and has written two books on the care of all those who suffer from dementia. There has only been an Association in Bedfordshire since 1990 and the knowledge of the  diseases is about where cancer was 20 years ago.

She spoke about how the coming together of those with illness helped them and how there is much research underway into the causes and treatment of the diseases.
