talked about Bedfordshire men who were involved in the battle of Trafalgar
and the Royal Navy generally. The most famous was John Byng (October 29th 1704 – March 14th 1757) who was a British admiral court-martialled and executed for failing to "do his utmost" during the Battle of Minorca, at the beginning of the Seven Years' War.
