Marcus Mauleverer talks to our Club about two months in Madagascar

A warm welcome was extended to Marcus by Rtn Peter Usher - the one in the Rotary Tee Shirt! They obviously found the taking of a photograph highly amusing.

Marcus, who is a member of Bedford Rotaract Club, gave us an excellent talk with many photographs about the 2 months he spent helping in schools to teach children English. He also spoke about and showed us photographs  of the culture, and environment of the island. He expressed concern about the destruction of the rain forest and the habitat and explained how attempts were being made to sustainably farm in valleys and to bring slash and burn to an end
